Climate Justice Forum: Bruce Campbell on Lac-Megantic Disaster, Idaho Pipeline Protests & Forced Gas Leases, Oregon Oil Terminal, Washington Train Declines, Sabotage, & Bridges, Nebraska Coal Wreck, White House Blockades 7-7-21

The Wednesday, July 7, 2021, Climate Justice Forum radio program, produced by regional, climate activist collective Wild Idaho Rising Tide (WIRT), features a Seattle talk by author Bruce Campbell, discussing the Lac-Megantic derailment disaster and unsafe oil trains. We also share news and reflections about Idaho tar sands pipeline protests and forced oil and gas leasing decisions and hearings, Oregon oil-by-rail terminal opposition, Washington oil train declines and sabotage opinions and river railroad bridge replacement, a Nebraska coal train crash on unused tracks, and indigenous-led blockades of White House gates, to urge President Biden’s protection of people from pipelines and polluters. Broadcast for nine years on progressive, volunteer, community station KRFP Radio Free Moscow, every Wednesday between 1:30 and 3 pm Pacific time, on-air at 90.3 FM and online, the show describes continent-wide, grassroots resistance to fossil fuel projects, the root causes of climate change, thanks to generous, anonymous listeners who adopted program host Helen Yost as their KRFP DJ.
